Engineer turned writer turned designer

Linda Hargrove is the Chief Designer and Technical Director at 1721 Media, LLC

What would it take to turn a NCSU graduate with a Master’s in biological and agricultural engineering into a multi-published novelists who designs websites? Simple. A strong desire to create.

Linda Hargrove has more than twenty years experience designing for the web and for print. In the past few years, she has designed for Forsyth Technical Community College (through her associations with GEM Integrated and The Bloom Agency), for North Carolina A&T State University, and for Moody Publishers.

With two published novels to her credit, Linda is a requested fiction writing instructor online and in-person. Her teaching experience also includes UNCG Division of Continual Learning Program (HTML coding and Dreamweaver). Her computer-based tools of choice include Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Offline, a number 2 pencil and a pad of paper do just fine.

Distilling the elements of a print or online campaign into its powerful core message is what she does best. Her results are strong, yet simple. Her company, 1721 Media, is the vehicle she uses to do that for small businesses and nonprofits in North Carolina and beyond.
